A Happy Thought
I just love this.
“Ask E. Jean: 25 Things Every Woman Should Know,” Elle (online)
24. You’re spinning on a merry-go-round at no cost. It’s whirling around a star that has hitched a ride on a galaxy moving so fast in the universe you can’t even feel it. So listen to Auntie Eeee, doll. Whatever went wrong yesterday? You’ve already moved on.
Today is going to be beautiful and after a couple of blinks… it’ll be over.
Enjoy it.
P.S. If you like stand up, you have to check this out. Adam is amazing and he’s going to be totally FAMOUS!! He’s also going to buy me a yacht for my birthday because I believed in his talent when nobody else except for the entire Internet did. Not Suitable For Work. DUH, it’s Adam.

I’m dizzy after reading that quote. And thanks for the link!
I believe he prefers to be called Avitable. Amirite!?!!
That’s something similar to my philosophy of life. No matter how sucky something is, life will go on and chances are good that at some point, be it tomorrow or a year from now, things will be better. That’s gotten me through a LOT.
wow, i really liked that quote. it you hadnt splashed it all over the interwebs, i’d have stolen it and said it was mine…
I have definitely moved on…
oh that was just wonderful, faiqa. thanks for ensuring i got to see the quote.
and today IS going to be beautiful.
On the train this morning I was thinking about how everything I’m doing in life didn’t matter in the long run because it’ll all be over soon in the grand scheme of time, and it made me smile.
I think that was teaching me to live in the moment… and I did have a good day… huh. Ok, I’m putting down the keyboard now, because I sound batshit crazy.
wow poppy. isn’t it crazy when you actually come to a realization that nothing matters? it’s crazy.. it’d be cool to talk about that shit if ur ever wanting to. email me, im 20 and confused about life
