30 Days of Truth, Day 3, Something You Have to Forgive Yourself For.
2000.
I voted for George W. Bush.
I know, right?
That’s it.
On a completely unrelated note, look what Dave posted on his blog the other day.
LOVE IT!

We have no idea what would have happened if The Other Guy would have won, but that whole dangling chad thing was so embarrassing! My parents lived in FL in 2000 and voted Democratic while everyone around them voted for Jeb’s family.
@Poppy, Right after that, we were in a pub restaurant in Virginia and the waitress asked us where we were from and we said, “Florida.” That entire side of the pub went, “BOOO!” That was embarrassing.
whew. if i did not love your writing so much i would have to lave now.
jumped on the 30 days of me bus because of you. hope i do not regret it. i am loving yours so far.
@mamie, Oh, thanks, I’m glad I inspired you sort of! Be assured, I’ve since reformed my voting practices.
I’m glad you forgave yourself, but I’m not sure I can forgive you.
@Finn, I understand.
I voted for Reagan once. Then later I voted for Obama. But I don’t feel I have to forgive myself for either.
@RW, I think the argument supporting your vote for Reagan makes far more sense than the one supporting my vote for Bush.
I love that poster too!
@Dave2,
Thanks for posting it
That poster is awesome.
And I did, too.. Faiqa.
@Sybil Law, Yay… we both suck.
Why did you do that?
@Miss Grace, Joe Lieberman, really? Was that any better of a choice than Sarah Palin? I think subsequent events prove my point, too.
Yeah but once or twice? I have to gauge the level of unforgivability
@Lisa, Once, only ONCE.
Wow. Umm, I was going to send you a membership card to the Avitable Best Friends Club, but I’m rethinking that now.
@Avitable, Oh, whatever. You had HITLER on your blog, like you’re one to judge…
I am…
OK, seriously. No joking around – I’m kind of appalled. And shocked. And confused. And dude – I DON’T EVEN KNOW YOU.
You voted for Bush?!?!?!?!?! You voted for FUZZY MATH GUY?!?!?!
@Miss Britt, Joe Lieberman. Seriously. I could not fathom that man as President. Nor could I fathom the decision making process that led to him being named a Vice President. Also, I was kind of jerk 10 years ago.
You WHAT???
But this Golden Rule graphic makes up for it. I love this.
@Jason, I know. I posted that graphic so people would remember why they liked me after that admission.
Something to forgive yourself for… not spending enough time with my daughter after my divorce. And I think I did spend a decent amount of time with her, too. But it still eats at me 10 years later.
And I loved that poster of Dave’s.
