Oh, no.
Oh, no, I think I have the flu.
See you after I get plenty of rest, fluids and sympathy from a husband who is OUT OF TOWN.
Do you think a four year old can make soup?

oh no! I hope you feel better before next Fri. If you don’t, I’ll understand, but I really hope you do!
@nancy, I *will* recover by then. InshAllah.
Oh honey! I wish I was there to make soup for you. Can you FedEx soup?
@Finn, Umm. I don’t think so. But, you could Fedex yourself.
No, but they can make microwave bacon.
@SciFi Dad, Sigh. Obviously, you are employed by the nefarious Getting Muslims to Eat Bacon Lobbyists of America.
I think any above average four year old should definitely be able to make soup.
@Avitable, “Making soup” does not mean heating the contents of a can. And I seriously doubt that you can make soup from scratch.
It follows, then, that your abilities lie below that of the above average four year old.
Ha. See what I did there? Kneel before Faiqa.
If you need anything, I will bring it to you! Just let me know. Anything, seriously.
@Hilly, Thanks, hon.
NO NO NO NO!!!!! The flu is horrible, especially when you have incredibly small, yet enormously demanding, little people. They have a psychic sense and feel the need to amp up the whining and tantrum-throwing when they know you are weak and cotton-headed.
I will drive all the way over there just to make you soup or just to help you climb down off the ledge. Okay? Yes. Good.
@Courtney, I think you’re on to something with the whining/sickness ratio. And, thanks for the soup offer, but you stay far away until I get better… we don’t want to expose YOU to amped up whining!
@Faiqa, I have a force field against whining, amped or otherwise. You’ll get yours once Y is 2 and your life becomes “stop fighting” on a loop.
Seriously thought, if you need something say the word
Oh, no is right. I’m sorry. Get better fast!
@Jason, Thanks, I’m trying.
I just had a sick kid, so I am hoping to avoid it myself!
I hope you feel better ASAP.
xoxo
@Sybil Law, <3 Thanks
I don’t know about soup, but they can definitely make poop.
I’ll be here all week. Tip your waitstaff.
@B.E. Earl, Take my wife… please…
I’m so sorry!! Hope you feel better soon!
@Becca, Thanks… I’m feeling a little better today.
Oh. Honey. Call the posse. Get some chicken soup over there. Stat. Wish I could ply you with Jell-O. Much, much, much love.
@Coal Miner’s Granddaughter, Mmmm, JellO. I wish you were here to watch my kids. Seriously. I know that’s a crappy thing to say, but I hope you realize I meant it as a compliment of the highest order.
Oh no, where can I hide? Wife had it last 2 days after kid A had it last weekend.
Hope you feel better soon. It’s nasty.
@Hockeymandad, No vomiting. Thank GOD.
sorry hon.
i got a bug too, so i’m looking for soup as well…
@Peau, I don’t know why, but I’m remembering that scene, “Please, suh, can I have some mo’”
Borrow Britt’s kids. I’m sure they can cook for you. (;
I hope you feel better!
@Elizabeth Kaylene, Hehehe… I bet they can.
I think that Adam should come over and cook, clean and take care of the kids.
Yup.
@Sheila (Charm School Reject), Look what you did, jerkface….didn’t even tell the poor lady to feel better. Geesh. What an idiot.
::cough::
I hope you feel better Faiqa…even if that other Sheila CSR doesn’t.
@Sheila (Charm School Reject), You made me laugh. And then cough. A lot. (And Adam called me five minutes after this post went live and asked me if I needed anything… he really is such a great friend. But you know that.)
I wish 4 year olds could make soup, but when I got mine to make grilled cheese, she burned herself. Right.before.my.eyes!
I hope you feel better.
