Nesting

Apparently, there’s this thing that pregnant women do called, “nesting.”

And, well, that’s what I’m doing instead of writing.

Just thought you should know.

If you have any cleaning, cooking, or laundry that needs to be done, you may want to invite me over.  I can’t seem to help myself these days.

If it were safe for you to travel, and I could afford to fly you to Indiana……….you would definitely have a gig for the weekend.

I’m sure your house looks great.

    Best nesting story ever:

My friend’s wife, nine months pregnant with their first child, decided one day that she didn’t like the stucco ceilings (the bumpy spray they use now instead of making smooth ones) in the house.

So, while her husband was at work, she got out a paint scraper, laid plastic over the furniture, climbed up on a TABLE (she is a very short woman, so a chair would not have worked) and started scraping off the bumps. She did it all day, and when he got home, my friend had to finish and then spackle, prime, and paint the ceilings before the baby came.

I am going away tomorrow for 5 days for a conference. While gone my husband will be in charge of the 3 dogs and one 2.5 year old. If you want to wander up to Boston, I think they might need the help.

I think you live fairly close to me and I’m not nesting so much as baking… so if you’ll come over and mop, I’ll make pie.

I have problems fitting in my willow twigs with the rest of the nest weave. I have no problem getting in the random shiny garage in though. Any hints?

@Ookami Snow, Ha! Best comment yet. Mostly because you’re the only one who *didn’t* ask me to clean.

Nesting occurs before you poop out a kid? Huh…I never knew that.

(Poop out a kid…I crack myself up)

Ah, yes. I remember those days well. Except for my first pregnancy, I was nesting on bed rest. So, I basically cross-stitched every flat surface within reach.

Um, yeah. I’ve got toys you can tidy up and sort through. Feel free! :)

Are you trying to say I’m pregnant? I do that shite all the time.
If I end up pregnant, I am coming after you!

I will pay you $500 to come clean out our apartment. Except, I’m pretty sure that you can’t travel right now and that would induce labor, so how about you stay there and be safe and I’ll think good thoughts for you that your nesting time is over soon. :)

And I’m guessing it insults you for me to offer you money, I was just basing the amount on how much it’s gonna cost us to have the 1800gotjunk people to do the job. You’re worth WAY more.

Wait, why are you offering to clean for people? You’re due in less than a month…we should be offering to clean for you :)

I remember those nesting days. I put six bookcases into alphabetical order, colour coded the spice rack, polished anything that was brass or silver. I even tidied my husband’s sock drawer and no one in their right mind would venture there. I am excited for you – the little bubby’s on the way!

You interested in remote work? My blog needs some clean up – categories, tags, maybe some more writing…
