Let us forgo words for a time …
Remember when I said that at the end of yesterday’s post? I know, it seems like so long ago.
Anyway, here’s what I’m working on with my hands, right now.
I have access to a heavily discounted Fedex account courtesy of a dashingly handsome metrosexual Indian man that I know, so I’ll be shipping collected books to Iraq on January 2.
I plan on doing this every three months.
If you have textbooks or other library worthy books that you would like to donate, you can e-mail me at faiqa[at]native-born[dot]com and we can work out a way for you to get them to me.
I don’t think they’ll mind even if you donate your copy of Twilight.
A book is a book.
I suppose.

I have some – will be contacting you by the end of the week.
Ooh, you had to throw in that jab at Twilight at the end there, didn’t you?
I probably have a few books that I could donate, too. As long as they meet your exacting standards, that is.
How is it that I really and truly don’t think I have any to donate?
I blame the move. I purged in the move.
I don’t mind donating a text book or two – afterall my college bookstore would probably buy them back for like a penny (cheap bastards)- PS I’ll probably send them by mail at the end of the semster.
You would have to get me high in order to watch twilight- awful acting- I don’t know much about the books, prehaps they’re better.
I was just about to open up an amazon book store for the excess astrology books we’ve collected that didn’t work out for one reason or another. Think they’d be appreciated?
@Robin: Awesome!
@Avitable: Porn doesn’t count. Heh. I’m sure your books will qualify. And, ref. Twilight, you see how daring you’ve made me? I risked being burned in Internet effigy on that last line. It was daring for *me* anyway.
@Miss Britt: I’m currently researching an organization that accepts children’s books for Afghanistan. As soon that one proves credible, maybe you might be able to muster something up?
@Komal: I’m working on getting mom to donate money so I can reimburse people who want to ship to me. As soon as I figure it out, I’ll post on that.
@whall: Astrology… which is horoscopes and stuff? Hmm. Why the hell not? They said their students have “varied” interests.
@EVERYONE: I’m working on a plan to reimburse people for shipping these books to me. What should I do? Gift cards? Any suggestions?
this is cool, Faiqa. i don’t suppose Numerology For Dummies qualifies as a book though
@Crys: And why not?! Numerology is a well respected and ancient field in many parts of the world. But, then again, I don’t know. The “For Dummies” in the title might cause some sort of international incident.
i probably cant find them, but if i CAN find the big box of textbooks somewhere in my attic, they’re yours..
Nothing to donate here. Wish I could!
However, I should really look into this Twilight crap. I just feel like, vampires have been done to death, so I had no interest in the books or the movies.

I really find it intrigueing that there is a possibility that the stars can affect your life.
