The "ideal" America is a place full of many different people, from many different places, and yet... many of those people, from those many different places, feel like you, that they don't "don't <em>look</em> like we were born here." It kind of makes me angry, that I'll never know what it's like to feel that way... and that there's nothing I can do (at least that I can think of), as someone who does "look" like she was born here. It's sad, and I'm sorry that you and so many other people feel that way. Anyone living here is American to me. You know what’s crazy?
